The immediate surroundings of Casimir Palace and ‘Botanika’—the garden at the back of the main building of the palace, full of various plants, including vegetables—were the places where Fryderyk played with his sisters and with his peers from teachers’ families living nearby and pupils of the Chopins’ boarding school.
